  1. Do not eat for four hours prior to Chemical Nuclear Stress Test. If scheduled after 12:00 p.m., eat a fatty meal 4 hours before.
  2. Diabetic patients on insulin for Chemical Nuclear Stress Test: Eat, take ½ insulin dose, and bring a snack.
  3. Do not eat or drink anything caffeinated or de-caffeinated for 24 hours prior to Chemical Nuclear Stress Test (includes coffee, decaf coffee, tea, decaf tea, sodas, chocolate).
