Instructions

  1. For epidural injections, wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may want to have someone accompany you. Stop taking blood thinners (Coumadin 4-5 days prior, Plavix 7 days prior, Ticlid 14 days prior, Lovenox 10-24 hours prior depending on dosage). Continue medication for high blood pressure and/or heart disease. NSAIDS do not need to be stopped.
  2. For epidural injections, lay low for a couple of days and start moving comfortably when able. Return to regular activity about 1 week after injection.
  3. For MELT, do 1-2 times/day for 4-6 weeks until symptoms are gone, then 1-2 times/week.
