- Remove all accessories including hair pins, jewelry, eyeglasses, hearing aids, wigs, dentures, acupuncture needles, and medication patches before MRI.
- Bring a card identifying any internal device model and material for MRI.
- Notify technologist if you have any prosthetic joints, heart pacemaker, defibrillator, artificial heart valve, IUD, metal plates, pins, screws, surgical staples, tattoos, permanent make-up, bullet, shrapnel, or if you might be pregnant or claustrophobic before MRI.
