  1. Remove all accessories including hair pins, jewelry, eyeglasses, hearing aids, wigs, dentures, acupuncture needles, and medication patches before MRI.
  2. Bring a card identifying any internal device model and material for MRI.
  3. Notify technologist if you have any prosthetic joints, heart pacemaker, defibrillator, artificial heart valve, IUD, metal plates, pins, screws, surgical staples, tattoos, permanent make-up, bullet, shrapnel, or if you might be pregnant or claustrophobic before MRI.
