No. A physician referral is not required to book an appointment at Echo Hearing Care. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a referral for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider regarding your individual plan.

Your appointment includes a detailed discussion of your hearing concerns and medical history, an examination of your ears, comprehensive diagnostic hearing testing, and a review of the results and recommendations. If hearing loss is identified, appropriate management options, including hearing aids when clinically indicated, will be discussed.

Many extended health insurance plans provide coverage for hearing assessments and hearing aids. Coverage varies depending on your individual plan. We recommend checking with your insurance provider regarding your benefits. We are happy to provide the documentation required for you to submit your claim for reimbursement.

As an independent audiology clinic led by a Doctor of Audiology with over 20 years of clinical experience, Echo Hearing Care provides comprehensive hearing aid services, including consultations, hearing aid fittings, follow-up care, and hearing aids from all major manufacturers. This allows us to recommend the hearing solution that best meets your individual hearing needs, lifestyle, and preferences.

Funding may be available through extended health insurance, Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB), and the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction. Eligibility and coverage vary by program.

Yes. We offer hearing aid trials to help determine the most appropriate hearing solution for your individual hearing needs and lifestyle.

Yes. We provide comprehensive tinnitus assessments and management. Recommendations are individualized and may include education, counselling, hearing technology, sound therapy, communication strategies, and referral to another healthcare provider when appropriate.

No. Echo Hearing Care does not provide earwax removal services. If excessive earwax is present, we recommend having it removed by your family physician, a walk-in clinic, or another qualified healthcare provider before your hearing assessment.

No. Patients experiencing ear pain, ear infections, ear drainage, or other acute ear concerns should first be assessed by their family physician, a walk-in clinic, or an urgent care centre. Once the medical condition has been treated, we would be happy to assess your hearing if needed.

We kindly request at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Yes. Complimentary street parking and free underground parking are available for patients visiting Echo Hearing Care.
