Instructions

  1. For BRAVO / 96 hour Esophageal pH Monitoring: Do not consume any food for 8 hours before the procedure. Stop drinking all fluids 4 hours before the exam (minimal sips allowed only for usual medications). Avoid gum and hard candy. Continue blood pressure, cardiac, anticonvulsant, thyroid, neuromuscular and psych medications. Dosage adjustments for iron, diabetic medications, blood thinners or weight loss medications are provided upon scheduling. A driver at least 18 years old is required for discharge after the exam. Return the diary and recording device to the Huron Gastro office after 96 hours.
